How can we help you?

If you have foot pain or an ankle problem you have come to the right place. Whether you are suffering from an ingrowing toenail,  heel pain, an Achilles problem or anything in between we can get you back on your feet and back to what you enjoy doing best.

What is Podiatry?

Podiatry is the study of the foot and lower limb and the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions and problems caused by walking or running.

We are great at assessing and treating skin and nail problems, including removing painful corns and performing nail surgery for ingrowing toenails.  But as the foot and ankle specialists we also know our plantar fasciitis from our policemans heel and can tell the difference following an ankle injury between a ligament sprain, a tendon injury or a fracture.

We also diagnose and manage leg pain, from shin splints, stress fractures and compartment syndrome.  We even treat some types of knee pain including patella tendon injuries, patella-femoral pain syndromes.

We help all ages and all types of people, from children with "growing pains", to sports injuries in serious athletes or the weekend warrior or those who just want to stay mobile and active for as long as possible.

At Essex Podiatry we use the full range of effective treatments available, whether its using a scalpel to remove a painful corn, ingrowing toenail surgery using local anaesthetic, taping, footwear advice, laser, therapy shockwave therapy, to exercise therapy and fully customised foot orthotics. We also have onsite diagnositic ultrasound scans and can perform steroid injections at our Wickford Podiatry clinic.

We really are the foot and ankle pain experts and with our full range of treatments available, we can get back on your feet and back to what you enjoy doing best.

Customer Reviews

Our Happy Customers

Had my feet assessed and treated by Dave. He explained why I had callus and corns. Then he removed them. Afterwards it was like walking on air. Definitely recommend the treatment and care I received.

Margaret Kenny

Gave me all the information I needed, helped me with advice for choices and always checked up on how I was feeling after surgeries. Absolutely brilliant service, and results were exactly as I wanted.

Joe Jobson

Couldn't have asked for a better service. David solved my sons in growing toe nails that had become very problematic. He went above and beyond to help him which we are very grateful for.
