Welcome to Essex Podiatry
I am David Reid the podiatrist
I qualified from the University of Huddersfield with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry in 1999.
My first job after University was as a community podiatrist working for the NHS in Norfolk. After four years I left the NHS to become a Senior Lecturer in Podiatric Medicine at the University of East London in Stratford and, at the same time, I started working in my own private practice in Norwich.
After several years of commuting from Norwich to Stratford every day, my wife and I made the decision to move to Essex to make my commute easier! During this time I started working privately at Springfield Hospital on a Saturday.
In 2011 I decided to pursue training to become a podiatric surgeon. I now work two days a week at Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith in a podiatric surgery department.
In the same year, I also started working privately in Wickford at the now closed London Road Physio Practice. When the practice closed in 2016, I set up Wickford Podiatry at its current location in Woodlands Road.
In my spare time (when I get it!) I enjoy geocaching with the family. I have also previously been involved in coaching and managing football both at youth and adult level in Norfolk and Essex.
Additionally I work for Fireworks Crazy, a professional display company based in Chelmsford, performing shows throughout the region.
Thank you for looking at my site.
